With only 22 followers on Soundcloud and one track of nearly 4 and a half minutes long, GUNK have created something especially low key and wonderful with debut track ‘Rabbits Lung’. “Tonight, I think I took too much”, wanders Washington DC’s Eric Zidar in his looming and mumbling deep groans which in parts, bear similarities to a stateside King Krule. ‘Rabbit’s Lung’ is a psychedelic uplift and downpour of lo-fi intensity which springs into a gloriously scuzzy guitar solo halfway in.
